I’ve seen a good bit of the world, both the beauty and the ugliness. I was born and raised on the New Jersey barrier islands. In fact, across from my childhood home was the actual beginning of the barrier spit we call Barnegat Island. The fabulous Eighties we not so fabulous if you were a kid from the beach. The pollution from open garbage dumping had reached its maxim for what the ecosystem and society could handle. Open dumping from garbage barges out in international waters continued until public outcry demanded action from authorities. Swimming with dead animals, oil slicks, and dodging telephone poles was not fun as a kid.
If you lived or frequented the beach I’m sure your family or neighbors had their own “special” tar remover for cleaning feet.
I watched as a lifeless sea began to spurn life again as the years and decades passed. Osprey, dolphin, whales, fish, cow rays, and so much more. I do not want to watch the ocean be killed by greed and fear. The industrialization of the ocean with wind turbines is for pure greed of profit. Offshore and onshore wind is nothing more than snake oil which has been pushed on people for decades as a renewable energy source. If you believe it is, please leave the page now! This lie of renewable energy is pushed on the populace under the auspicious as an answer the paradigm of “Global Warming”. Another lie, fabricated by an “independent” think-tank in the 1960s as an alternative to war. Why is there no more focus on physical pollution? Because the intangible idea of global warming is easier to invoke fear. It’s a double-edged sword…. What you can’t see won’t hurt you, but what you can’t see we can say it will kill you! The push for OSW (offshore wind ) is to hide environmental crimes and the plundering of the ocean away from the public’s view. At the same time they just need to drive that fear of global warming to justify their actions and why you need to pay for it!
